ShortcutsPay - Activate Standalone Mode

Step 1: Open Stripe Dashboard and go to Terminal > Locations

In Stripe Dashboard, select Terminal, then open the Locations tab.

Step 2: Select the location you want to edit

Click the relevant location to open its settings.

Step 3: Open Standalone mode and click Override

On the right-hand side of the location settings, select Standalone mode, then click Override.

Step 4: Enable Standalone mode in Stripe Dashboard

Turn the Enabled setting on. This makes standalone mode available on the terminal for that location.

Step 1: Swipe right on the terminal to open the Menu page

On the Stripe Reader S710, swipe right to open the Menu page.

Step 2: Turn on the Standalone mode toggle

Tap the Standalone mode button so it switches on.

Step 3: Return to the home screen

Once standalone mode is enabled, the terminal home screen shows a New payment button.

If setup is complete, the terminal displays the New payment button on the home screen and is ready to take standalone payments.

Step 1: Tap New payment from the home screen

From the terminal home screen, tap New payment to start a standalone transaction.

Step 2: Enter the amount and tap Charge

Type the payment amount. You can also add a note if needed, then tap Charge to confirm.

Step 3: Present the terminal for card payment

The terminal displays the total and prompts the customer to tap or insert their card.

Step 4: Choose whether to send a receipt

After the payment is approved, the terminal asks whether the customer would like a receipt. Select Email to send one, or No thanks to skip.

Step 5: Confirm the payment is complete

A confirmation message appears to show the transaction is complete. Tap Done to return to the terminal home screen.

Payment complete.

The payment Type in Fusion must be set up as a MOTO/Standalone Transaction.

Use this process for basic standalone payments. Once enabled, the terminal home screen displays a New payment button so staff can take card payments directly on the device.
