App Tile Images Size Guide

Use this guide when designing the content of your app. Your app is made up of various 'tiles' your clients will be able to tap on to access different features of your app. Each tile you choose to include in your app requires an image, the size of the image depends on how many other tiles are in the same row as that tile. Please ensure each image is the following format:

  • .JPG or .PNG format

  • 72 DPI Resolution

  • Less than 100 kb in size

The size of a tile changes depending on how many tiles you have in a row (1, 2 or 3). Below are recommendations for the size of your tile images depending on how many tiles per row you have.

1 Image Per Row - 594x220 pixels

2 Images Per Row - 288x220 pixels

3 images Per Row - 187x220 pixels

Each device renders and crops the images slightly differently, so we recommend important aspects of your image don’t touch the sides as the edges of images may be cropped out by different devices.

App Tile Layout

Your app is created using the tiles you have provided above. You can have an unlimited number of rows with a maximum of 3 tiles per row, use the example image on the right as a guide to help you decide how you want each row to look.

If you only choose 1 tile for a row the image will stretch across the full width, this is great if you want to promote a key feature such as online booking. If you select 2 tiles the row is divided into 2 even sections. If you select 3 tiles and the row is divided into 3 sections.

4. Customizing the Dashboard Layout

  • Go to the Dashboard

  • Arrange tiles by dragging them into position (maximum of three tiles per row).

  • Remove tiles by dragging them to the Inactive Tiles box.

  • Restore tiles by dragging them back to the dashboard.

  • Save all changes before exiting.

5. Final Steps and Activation

Activating the App

  • Return to My Salon App Settings and check the box to activate the app.

  • Click Save to complete the setup.

Previewing the App

  • Test the app on your phone to ensure tiles and images display correctly.

  • Adjust and re-upload images as needed to fit tile layouts.
